On September 1, 2026, the association “Business for a Cosmopolitan Germany” was founded in Berlin. FINU Germany is one of the eight founding members of this new nationwide alliance. Together, the participating organizations already represent a network of more than 2,500 companies in Germany.
For us, this step is more than just membership in yet another network. FINU was founded to connect entrepreneurs with international backgrounds, highlight their perspectives, and harness their experiences and international networks for the benefit of Germany as a business location.
However, many of the challenges we face cannot be solved by a single association alone. Attracting skilled workers, ensuring international competitiveness, managing immigration, fostering social openness, and creating attractive conditions for businesses are shared responsibilities.
That is why we want to bring our perspective to the table wherever different parts of the German economy come together.
One Voice—Diverse Perspectives
“Business for a Cosmopolitan Germany” brings together business-related associations and initiatives to exchange knowledge, connect companies, and develop joint activities. The association sees itself as politically independent and as the voice of the business community for democracy, diversity, and cosmopolitanism.
FINU contributes, in particular, the perspective of internationally minded entrepreneurs to this network.
For us, openness to the world and economic development are inextricably linked. Germany needs international skilled workers, entrepreneurs, investors, new ideas, and strong relationships with markets around the world. At the same time, it needs framework conditions that allow people to realize their economic potential and take on responsibility.
This is exactly what we want to work on together.
Because an internationally connected economy needs a Germany that is open to the world.
